As typographic and printing processes have become digitalised and quicker, less time is considered on the craftsmanship of these elements in contemporary publishing. Careful analysis of traditional publications provide insight into a time where typography and printing were far more physical processes. These insights provide an education of the ‘why’ behind the constructive rules found within Graphic Design.

The aim of this project is to celebrate the nuances of traditional print and book binding through the celebration and restoration of ‘The Bibelots’ design elements. Bringing it’s timeless design to the new generation of designers. Acting as an introduction to the world of publication and book design processes.
